Mr. Conrad honored with Key Clipper Award

Justin Conrad is a parent volunteer and coach for our VEX IQ teams at the middle and elementary school levels. In his professional life, Justin is a software engineer and he is motivated to offer his unique skill set and passion for the engineering design process to those in our learning community. Mr. Conrad tirelessly researches best practice strategies and has developed a student-centered program while intentionally working to foster the skills needed for students to define constraints and design, build, test, and redesign their robots to be competitive. To help each team reach their full potential, he has put in the time to research all the rules and content offered through VEX and the REC foundation. Mr. Conrad is extremely patient and upbeat with our students, and this shines through in the wonderful rapport he has built with them over the past two seasons.

Along with volunteering his time to coach our CMS robotics teams, Justin has found time to also help out with the following:

  • All Pro Dad’s Co-leader

  • Columbiana Youth Soccer - Assistant Coach

  • Columbiana Youth Baseball - Assistant Coach

  • Columbiana Youth Softball - Assistant Coach

  • Elementary 24 Club helper 2022 - 2023

  • Tie-dye master at Tacos & Tie Dye Events

Mr. Conrad’s passion for the engineering process has been extremely well accepted by students who are eager to learn from his vast knowledge and experience. It takes a village to raise a child, and Justin has certainly stepped up to help enrich the middle school experience for many of our students.

Congratulations, Mr. Conrad & Go Clips!
