Congratulations to Mrs. Piriak on her retirement! Mrs. Piriak has been in education for 32 years, starting her career at Youngstown Christian School teaching third grade. During the summer of 1991, she returned to Youngstown State University to complete her degree in mathematics.
Throughout her time at Columbiana, she spent fifteen years at the high school teaching: Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Applied Math. Mrs. Piriak finished her teaching career in eighth grade teaching Pre-Algebra and Financial Literacy.
Mrs. Piriak would encourage all educators to put their students first. She would like to remind all students they are capable, to never give up, and to remember they can do it. She will miss her coworkers, who have been a rich source of help when she has needed it. She will miss her students and the opportunity to work with them to understand mathematical concepts.
We wish Mrs. Piriak the best as she moves into retirement. Relax & Enjoy, Mrs. Piriak!
